The low-budget thriller has overtaken “Dune 2” in South Korea

The film “Dune: Part Two” suffered a defeat in one of the key Asian markets, failing to break through to the top of the box office in South Korea.

The sequel started in cinemas only from the second place with the result of 4.6 million dollars, that is, in fact, little interest to Korean viewers. The first place was held by the low-budget thriller “Exguma”, which was in its second week at the box office and grossed an additional $17.2 million. It is noteworthy that its collections increased in the second weekend by almost 20 per cent compared to the opening weekend.

The plot of “Exguma” revolves around a feng shui master and a funeral home worker who try to fix mysterious events happening to a Korean family living in the United States.
